By default, you need to use sudo to use dmesg. I do, however, have the log files in my S4S folder. The dmesg command allows you to review the messages that are stored in the ring buffer. It does for the SSAO ID's but not when I'm modifying the mesh for some reason. (BTW: For some reason I am receiving no error reports on my computer when the system crashes. Has anyone else had this problem, or knows a solution? I can't figure out why it keeps crashing and I do a lot of mesh edits. ![]() ![]() This has been a consistent problem for quite a while and I can't seem to get any info on what's actually wrong with it. If I'm using it consistently for 5ish minutes it'll just crash no matter what. It has no problem when I put in a new texture, but it frequently crashes when I'm changing the SSAO ID's or spend too much time using it at once. It isn't specific to one package, when I modify any furniture or clothing or hair it does it. It isn't accessible, just a quick glimpse and the whole system crashes. Another thing that's odd is that when I put in the mesh it'll load like normal, but then I'll see my mesh show up in S4S as it's crashing. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling S4S (I use the Mac version, the most up-to-date one) and I've tried restarting my computer. The cuts are the same in both the original and modified packages and it's essentially exactly the same (all I did was delete the detail on the bottom of the sign from C+D). It won't work, and I am not deleting any mesh groups. My S4S crashes every single time I try to upload a modified mesh. So, I am posting on a different part of the forum, because I REALLY need help with this problem. That can be a feasible investment if it's an important part of your design process like you know you want to sculpt things in clay and then convert to a CAD model.īut for the most general case the polygon model data like you attached above is just not suitable for use as a CAD model.I've posted about this problem before, and there appears to be no resolution still. The nodes are configured in a 2-D mesh with a pro. Clear last dmesh sent timestamp in uploads when client switches resources. variety of crash and impact scenarios of interest to industry and government. You can also look for software for converting 3D scans into CAD models which is closely related.īut since it's a specialized field you'll probably find the software is quite expensive and will require a substantial investment in time to get good results, like in some software you manually guide the process by sketching a large patch structure on the faceted mesh. Avoid crashing in D-Bus lib when filename is improperly UTF-8 encoded. It's generally referred to as "Reverse engineering", if you do some searches on that you can find some software for it like Geomagic Wrap for example. Well there are such tools but they are quite specialized - it's not like a matter of changing how things are just packaged up and formatted like many file format translations, you're instead talking here about a major change from one type of data (small facets) into a different fundamental type of data (spline CAD surfaces). > into a format that is suitable for MoI (NURBS)? I'm honestly not sure if I'm asking the question properly. ![]() Are there any conversion tools you might recommend that can convert the faceted polygon mesh
