![]() I love being surprised by a new contender. As hard as I look, it always seems to be the same companies (Aer being chief among them). Unlike Apple, they're not too expensive (says the Apple fanboy). So why does everyone mention Aer? Probably because they tend to make good products and they have a solid reputation. I've tried others, but I usually end up returning them due to the bag falling short. I've been dying to get my hands on COB's X-Pod, but it's been out of stock so long (same with some of their other products) that I'm starting to question whether or not they're still even in business. I use the Bellroy Lite Sling when I need something that's lightweight, flush against my back, and where I can shove a bunch of shit into it (and not care if something happens to it). My favorite EDC is currently the new (I'm so sorry, but you know what's coming) Aer Day Sling 3 (I've got the City, but. My favorite backpack is an older Tumi bag I use religiously (Alpha Bravo series), mainly for travel. and about as "luxury" as I'll go love the new Esports Pro Sling Pack). but anything above $300 is a no go for me these days (and I don't really want anything too douchey Tumi is fairly low key. I've tried most of the bags out there (bag freak ok, maybe just a freak), from cheap ones on Amazon to stuff typically found here (like Aer) to the luxury brands. ButĬarryology pushed hard being some kind of bag nerd hypebeast thing, with all the hypebeast mentality that entails. I'll say though the Carryology facebook group used to be great for discovering those smaller brands. But without getting them in my hands (EU to South East Asia? I'll think a thousand times first lol), combined with how ""generous"" bag brands are with their bags photos, not a lot can be discussed beyond what's shown. Ended up going with the Aer Travel Pack 2 X-Pac since it can compress to 20L for EDC/gym and go to 30L for travel. I want to talk about aevor/pinqponq as well since I randomly found out about them, or any other not the carry world darlings. I'm denying your observations though, since that's my experience as well with the current state of the subreddit. Get 30 Off Backpacks Using These Aer Competitor Coupons (Active Today) Save up to 30 off on backpacks with verified discount codes for popular brands similar to Aer. This was certainly the case back then but there's only so much a few tens of active users can talk about their collection and their findings.Ĭan't deny this though. ![]() Also, we use Amazon links occasionally so we have to say this to you: We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to and affiliated sites.I've been in this subreddit since near the start.
